Depart USA for Hanoi, Vietnam
3-4 February 2009 - Tuesday- Wednesday
After undergoing 4 courses of antibiotics, including 1o days of IV Erdepenem, for the UTI I acquired in Tunisia- which lead to canceling my Suez Canal to Jordan via the Red Sea- it took a lot of guts to depart for this trip to SEA which would put me halfway around the world from expert medical care. But it's cold in Ohio and warm in SEA so took a Delta flight from Dayton to Atlanta to cross country to Los Angeles and a long layover in LAX. Spent $25 for use of a well hidden lounge where I had time on a computer and some snacks before joining the rat race through security where it was easy to notice that Caucasians were definitely in the minority- just like in the real world. It was 1am local and 4am Dayton time at takeoff so it was a long day. The GPS on this 777 showed a global view including the position of the sun - it was a completely night flight and lost a day crossing the International Date Line
